Whispers of the Garden

The second installment in a two-part series inspired by a memorable journey to Barbados with my daughter, Whispers of the Garden explores the quiet, mystical side of an island paradise. This large-scale 24x36 canvas features a serene stone bust deeply nestled within the island's lush, untamed jungle, beautifully draped in vibrant, cascading green ivy.

Using thick, fluid strokes of heavy-body acrylic, the painting captures the harmony between stone and soil. A dense canopy of tropical emerald leaves is brought to life by trailing, textured clusters of violet and pink blossoms. Overhead, the same signature flash of electric blue sky peeks through the canopy, connecting this piece to its sister painting, Island Bliss.
